Harry Potter and Aesthetic Realism

Ellen Reiss is the editor of the periodical Aesthetic Realism and she recently wrote an interesting essay on the timeless romantic dychotomy presented in the Harry Potter books that has contributed to them being such immense successes. The essay can be a bit dry and academic at times, but it is well worth the read if genre definitions and arguments strike your fancy.
